Buy and Sell tokens instantly

What are Buy and Sell Orders?

Buy and sell orders are simple orders that are executed instantly after the user confirms the transaction. They are the most commonly used trade orders in DeFi. With Buy Orders, you can easily buy your desired token with native coins or stable coins. With Sell orders, you can sell your tokens for native coins (e.g., ETH on Ethereum) or stablecoins. Buy orders are also used for manually sniping new token launches.

Additionally, buy and sell orders are very useful for quickly reacting to market events.

Buy Orders

Buy orders enable the buying of any token on any of the supported chains, using the chain's native token, USDT, or USDC.

The buy orders are executed immediately after the user confirms the order.

How to create a buy order:

  1. Go to the Trade page.

  2. Select the chain of the token.

  3. Select the desired token by entering its symbol, name, the contract address, or the LP address

  4. Select the wallet you want to use for trading.

  5. Enter the trading amount (or use the slider).

  6. Click on the Buy button.

  7. Confirm the order.

Sell Orders

Sell orders enable the selling of any token on any of the supported chains for the native token or stablecoins (USDT or USDC). To sell a token, you must have the token in your wallet. The sell orders are executed immediately after the user confirms the order.

How to create a sell order:

  1. Go to the Trade page.

  2. Select the chain of the token.

  3. Select the desired token by entering its symbol, name, token address, or LP address.

  4. Select the wallet you want to use for tradingโ€”you must already hold the token in your wallet.

  5. Enter the trade amount (or use the slider).

  6. Click on the Sell button.

  7. Confirm the order.

Notes

  • Make sure you choose the right token you want to buy.

  • You need to have a minimum amount in the native currency (e.g., ETH for Ethereum) to pay for the gas of the transaction in the selected wallet.

  • Double-check the trading settings. Here, you can set the slippage, validator tip, and other settings. Read more on the Trade Order Settings page.

  • Ensure you agree with the quote for the trade. TokenSight will provide the best quote possible; however, if there isn't enough liquidity or due to some other external reason, the price impact might be suboptimal.

  • A fee is charged for every trade. Read more on the Fees page.
